Admissions: Clothing
Central Africa Baptist College is committed to honoring God and training Christian leaders for ministry (Ephesians 4:12). Appearance is a recognizable part of one’s testimony, and believers are admonished in 1 Timothy 4:12 to be examples in every area of life. CABC's dress code is based on the application of the following biblical principles: modesty, distinctiveness, appropriateness, and deference.

The College asks on-campus students, off-campus students, and spouses of students to support the application of biblical principles with the understanding that some aspects of the dress code reflect institutional policies. Institutional policies are intended to maintain standards that are above reproach and are easy to understand and enforce.

The following are basic clothing guidelines:

Women’s Dress
Dresses, skirts, pants, and shirts must have a minimum of one inch of fabric that can be pinched on both sides of the garment without stretching the fabric. Ease is the difference in the measurement of a body and measurement of a garment’s circumference.
Clothing of sheer or revealing material is not acceptable.

Hair should be cut in a feminine style and should be a natural color (no extreme/faddish cuts or colors).  A maximum of two earrings may be worn only on the lower part of each ear lobe.

Necklines must be no lower than 3 fingers from the collarbone in front and 5 fingers from the base of the neck in the back.
Untucked blouses and tops must fall at least 100 cm below the top of the skirt or slacks. Tops must always be long enough to cover skin at all times, no matter what the activity.

Hemlines may not be shorter than the bottom of the knee. Kick pleats and slits should not shorter than the bottom of the knee. Skirts, slacks, and split skirts must fit at the waist, not below.

Men’s Dress
Hair must be cut in a traditional, conservative style.  Men may not bleach, color, or highlight their hair.  Jewelry (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc.) is not permitted. ID and medial alert bracelets may be worn.  T-shirts logos must be in good taste.
